Ilaz

Ilaz's multilayered work always has its natural barycenter in a precise and recurring subject: the body. An unrecognisable body, transformed into a mass that testifies to the violence it has suffered, especially those self-inflicted; the viewer experiences the absolute destruction of the form, identity and any personification, as an admonishment of the most extreme consequences to which contemporary voracity leads.

Ilaz forces the observer to confront the power of both colour and material, through an oeuvre whose screams echo in the ears of those present, even when they look away.
